Congregational Care

McFarlin Care Ministries strive to be the hands and feet of Christ, to offer care and support to individuals and families as they face the challenges of life. We do this through many different ministries:
- Volunteers write notes to extend our church's sympathy when a loved one dies, to congratulate a family on a new birth, to encourage the ill and injured, and to welcome a new member of the church.
- Volunteers accept prayer requests through the prayer chain and extend your voices to God in prayer.
- Care pamphlets on a number of subjects designed to offer information, hope and encouragement for various situations we encounter in life are available in the Fenn Hall Lobby and second floor foyer.
- Trained lay members visit nearly every day in the hospital delivering a red rose and acknowledging our church's concern to our members and constituents as they recover from an illness, injury or surgery.
- Volunteers prepare and deliver meals for those who have lost a loved one, to families having a new baby, to those suffering from an intense illness or severe injury.
- Stephen Ministers receive intense training and walk alongside those going through a difficult time in their lives.
Yet, the church cannot extend these services if we are unaware of the need. This is a family of faith. Help us to offer support to our family members. When you hear of someone who needs care, please let us know.
